Women’s Health Specimen Consortium (WHRC)

The WHRC is an interdisciplinary research group that facilitates the collection and storage of patient specimens for women’s health research. This consortium has created a specimen bank of cord blood, amniotic fluid (AF), plasma/serum, urine, follicular fluid/granulosa cells and cervicovaginal fluid from pregnant and non-pregnant women that is available to researchers for their studies. The WRCH assists researchers in patient consent, specimen collection, specimen storage and processing, as well as the ability to select and obtain previously banked specimens via a comprehensive database of outcomes data.
